Koperasi Buana Mandiri is a coffee co-operative based in Bener Meriah, Aceh, in the highlands of northern Sumatra. Surrounded by mountains and regular rainfall, the region provides ideal conditions for growing exceptional coffee.
With over 2,000 smallholder members, the co-op has been Fairtrade and Organic certified since 2015, supporting sustainable farming and community development.
Farmers cultivate local varieties including Catimor, Timtim and Gayo selections, producing the distinctive, full-bodied profiles Aceh coffees are known for.
